The most common questions we get about our Fruit and Bloom Booster

It's our number one selling formula so we get a lot of questions about this product! Here are some of the most common ones:
  • What is this made out of?
    • This product is a concentrated mixture of many nutrients that are critical to plant health including the main macronutrients of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium but also crucial trace minerals like zinc, iron, calcium and more. We source the highest quality raw ingredients from around the world and blend them together in Louisville, Kentucky.

  • What makes this better than competitors products?
    • Simply put, it’s all in the formula! Our unique blend of nutrients has been perfected by professional agronomists doing real field and lab tests on many varieties of plants. We could go on and on but instead of hearing our boring chemistry lesson, take a look at our reviews from hundreds of very pleased gardeners!

  • Is it safe to apply where kids and pets will be around?
    • Yes, as long as you dilute the product with water as directed, areas you apply the product to will not pose any harm to kids or pets!

  • I’m a beginner, is this hard to use?
    • No! This is a great place to start if you’re on the beggining of your gardening journey. Theres no risk it will harm your plants if you dilute it properly and it’s really easy to use. Just dilute into water and apply with whatever method you use to water your garden normally (watering can, drip systems, soaker hose, etc.)

  • What is the mixing ratio?
    • 1 teaspoon to two gallons of water

  • When and how often should it be applied?
    • This product is designed for the mid-late stages of a plants growth cycle. The timing on this will depend on the plant and your zone / location, but basically as soon as a plant has any sort of bud it’s a great time to start applying this formula.
    • After your first application apply at least monthly, but ideally weekly or every other week, until the end of the season / harvest.

  • Are there any plants that it will harm?
    • Not that we’ve found! It’s a well rounded formula that will be beneficial to just about anything you’re growing in your garden.

  • What does 2-15-15 mean?
    • Most fertilizers you see (the good ones at least) will display three numbers on the front of their packaging. The three numbers represent the ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in the product. These are three of the most important nutrients your plant needs. An easy back of the envelope trick for explaining these nutrients is “up”, “down” and “all around”. Nitrogen will help plants grow shoots and produce leaves (up), phosphorus will help plants develop strong roots (down) and potassium helps with everything (all around).
    • In reality it’s a bit more complicated than that but it’s a pretty good shorthand!
    • One thing to keep in mind, just because two products have the same NPK formula does NOT mean they are identical! There are over a dozen secondary nutrients that products can contain and (without getting to far into the chemistry) HOW the nutrients are derived is also very important.

  • Does it expire? What about once it’s opened?
    • Practically speaking, no. It has a shelf life of 10 years so, if you’re so inclined, feel free to order a decade’s worth today 🙂. Opening it will not impact that.
    • You can even “pre dilute” it and set aside a diluted mixture for later use. If you do this, it would be advisable to give it a good shake before usage, especially if you notice any separation.

  • Where it made?
    • All of our products are made in the USA and the majority of our blending and bottling is done in Kentucky!

  • How does it help with disease resistance?
    • Put it this way, what can humans do to help prevent getting sick? Eat nutritious foods, minimize stress, vitamins, etc. Doing these things will help make you more resiliant to diseases.
    • It’s the same with plants! When plants are getting all the macro and micro nutrients they need to grow strong, they are weak and susceptible to all sorts of diseases and pests. Giving your plants a great well rounded feed like this helps them grow strong and minimize stress. This in turn makes the plants much less susceptible to diseases.

  • If I use it on fruits and vegetables, will they be safe to eat?
    • Yes absolutely. Everything in our product is from naturally occurring substances that are already present in the soil and being used by your plant. It’s just that, oftentimes, soil can be depleted of some of these nutrients which makes it more difficult for the plants to grow. There is nothing in the product that plants (and humans) don’t consume on an everyday basis.
    • To put it in perspective, even drinking fertilizer straight out of the bottle would be only “mildly poisonous” (obviously, DO NOT do this). And this is only due to how concentrated these nutrients are in the formula. But diluted, they are at levels that you consume in many food / drink products everyday.

  • Do I spray on my plants or apply to my soil?
    • Either one! This product works great with soil applications or foliar feeding (spraying on a plant’s leaves). If foliar feeding, do so in the early morning or evening, when risk of evaporation is lower.

  • How long does it take to see results?
    • It depends on a lot of factors: type of plant, climate, stage of growth cycle, starting soil conditions, etc. but we (and a countless number of our customers) have seen some pretty amazing results literally overnight. However, usually it takes a couple applications / weeks before you really start to have noticeable results!

  • What if I’m not satisfied with the product?
    • We don’t think this will be the case but we stand by our products 100%. If you are not satisfied we will always accept a return. Just process a return using your order confirmation or reach out to us for help at help@farmerssecret.com
