There are pros and cons to each and there are certainly situations where granulars can get you awesome results. However, we are a bit biased towards liquid fertilizers 🙂

Liquid plant food has the advantage of being immediately available for plants to utilize.

Check out are About Us page for more details, but long story short all our formulas are designed by professional agronomists (crop / soil scientists) and in many cases are the very same products that farmers (aka the pros) use to maximize yield on their crops. There is more that goes into a fertilizer than just N-P-K (micronutrients, trace minerals, etc.) and having real experts design our formulas gives us a big advantage over our competition.

All of our products are made in the United States with components (raw ingredients) sourced from the United States. The majority of our bottling is done in Kentucky!

We do sell some organic certified products and we are working on adding a few more organic products to our line but most of our products are not organic.

No! Our products are designed for specific plants or periods in the growth cycle for optimal results. For the most part, that means each product will have a unique formula. Occasionally, the same formula will be the best option for two different products. For instance, our Snake Plant and Pothos fertilizer. We use the same formula for these two products because our agronomist team feels like that is what will get our customers optimal results. They are very similar plants in terms of nutrient needs.

We do two separate labels because the reality is most customers don’t want to do the research and read the fine print when buying a product like this. They have a snake plant and they want something that is going to perform well for their snake plant. That’s fine! We do, however, make it very clear (by putting our formulas right on the front of the label, among other things) when two products share the same formula so that a customer who has, for instance, a snake plant and a pothos doesn’t need to buy two different products.

We won’t name names but we think it’s pretty sad that some of our competitors have tons of products (sometimes literally dozens) that they market as plant specific formulas that are really the same formula with a different label slapped on it and the formulas hidden on the back of the label. We think that’s pretty disingenuous.

Yes definitely! For those that don’t know, a foliar application refers to spraying nutrients onto a plant’s leaves which allows for direct uptake into the leaves. This can be a great application method in many situations and can also be used in conjunction with soil applications.

Short answer: nope.

Plants can only absorb so many nutrients, and you can do more harm than good by adding additional food. Our instructions are written in conjunction with professional agronomists to fit the use case of that product, so we think they are pretty good and unless you are an experienced plant grower and know that your situation calls for additional feed, we wouldn’t recommend going over the instructed amount.

Yes, generally it is safe and won't hurt the effectiveness of our plant foods to mix and apply with most common herbicides / repellents, although we don’t necessarily endorse this! Make sure you know what you are putting in your garden!
