So far my anthurium seems to be doing better with the fertilizer.

I am only using it once a month instead of every other time I water. The plant seems to be responding well.

Nice, glad your anthurium has been responding well so far. I know they can be finicky

A month of use with noticeably stronger leaves

I know that this ratio is primarily meant for flowering anthuriums, but I diluted and used for my beautiful foliage ladies, I've been incredibly happy with the results. New growth on 5 of them (in the winter/dead months!), and strong happy leaves overall. I use half of the recommended amount for these plants, so the bottle will last me a very long time. Reasonably priced as well, would definitely recommend!

Glad it's working well for your anthuriums! We are ALWAYS looking to provide great value with our products so love to hear that you feel like it's reasonably priced too

For flowering and root growth

Product: Farmer's Secret Anthurium Liquid Plant Food Fertilizer (8oz) - Super Concentrated - Promotes Growth and Flowering - 4:15:12 RatioI like using liquid plant fertilizer as it's very easy to add to the watering can every so often. The Nitrogen:Phosphorus:K (potassium) ratio of 4:15:12 promotes root growth and flowering (for what it's worth, this NPK ratio is also pretty good for vegetables and tomatoes). Most non-flowering houseplants, on the other hand, would need a bit more nitrogen, so it's best to look up the need of your specific anthurium before using the fertilizer, as there are plenty of anthuriums that are more known for their foliage instead of the flower. The fertilizer is pretty concentrated, and I also suggest diluting the concentrate more than the recommended amount to ensure that you don't accidentally burn the roots, and fertilizer infrequently to prevent salt buildup. With the dilutions, this bottle should last a pretty long time. When it is doubt, dilute it down more. The additional iron and zinc are also great micronutrients for plants to prevent stunted growth. If you happen to have variegated anthuriums, I would suggest adding some additional CalMg to prolong the white variegation as this fertilizer does not contain calcium or magnesium. On a side note, this fertilizer also seems to be the same as another product (Indoor & Outdoor Plant Booster) from the same brand but repackaged with an Anthurium label. That product seems to be cheaper, so maybe get that instead of this?

Thanks for the detailed write up PlantOwl, agreed that it's best to start conservatively with dilution and see how your specific plant reacts. The Indoor & Outdoor Plant Booster is indeed the same formula but we are discontinuing that product. Should be the same price though generally unless we are running out of stock on a product.

My plants are happy!

We have three anthurium plants, and had been looking for a way to make them happier and healthier. Two of the three flower regularly, but the third has not been producing flowers, so we were looking for a fertilizer to see if it would help.We have been using this fertilizer for about a month and are pleased with the results so far. I, unfortunately, did not take any before pictures, but you can see from the pictures I took today that the leaves look healthy on all three plants.Anthuriums do not need much water (we typically just water with ice cubes once a week). The fertilizer says to use it every other watering, so that's what we have done. It is super concentrated so you don't need much. For smaller plants, you just need a tsp of fertilizer added to your water. This container should last a very long time.So far, we are very pleased with this product and will continue to use it.

Amazing! Glad it's worked out so well for you and your plants
